Artist statement

Remember Me is a trilogy of watercolour paintings exploring notions of grief, memory and loss. Using soft applications of watercolour to gradually build up opacity, Remember Me seeks to immortalise and pay tribute to the individuals the artist has lost through hazy renditions of sentimental family photographs. Employing watercolour as a medium as fluid and nebulous as memory itself, Remember Me traverses the emotional terrains between grief, longing and the final acceptance of loss.
