Limit less is a series of three small comparative paintings. Enchanted particularly by modernist and contemporary artists who use non finito as an intentional technique in their work, these paintings seek to test that if by reducing the data and work in a painting, I could produce a more compelling image. By working on yupo paper — a material that exposes the gesture of each brushstroke and choosing to work only in burnt umber underpainting, I am testing the reductive limits of each element to that effect.
