Artist statement

Halcyon Days of Lockdown is a narrative of three sequential charcoal drawings to enframe the different emotions and the temporal progression of being stuck in the sameplace, depicted through different poses and stages of dishevelment with hairstyle and dress. Black watercolour was applied underneath the charcoal application and applied with a paper  stump to increase depth. This series of drawings explores the emotions experienced when every day is the same during lockdown and acceptance of increasing isolation.
