Artist statement

'When you left along with my heart, there were spaces left empty' is a large-scale graphic drawing that uses markers on fabric to explore the loss associated with the ending of romantic relationships and how this loss can be physical as well as emotional. The artwork was created over a series of days where the artist laid across the work creating a relationship with the fabric to explore the materialistic desire for objects that steam from an emotional loss.
