Artist statement
Untitled is a pair of illustrations about intimacy and closeness interpreted through memories and imaginations of a certain time and place and our desire for connection. I explore tenderness and sentimentality through dream-like, illustrative depictions of bodies shifting in a sleep-like trance. The cyclical presence and absence of our bodies in bed in which we spend half our lifetimes, is a place to consider the vulnerability of where and with whom we choose to sleep.
