Professor Michael O'Donnell is the Deputy Rector – Defence Contract and a Professor at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ.

Professional Experience and Research Interests:

Michael O'Donnell is Professor of Human Resource Management in the School of Business. Prior to taking up this appointment in July 2009, Michael was Associate Professor in the College of Business and Economics at the Australian National University. Michael has also held appointments at the University of Canberra and the University of New South Wales. Michael's research interests include human resource practices and employment relations in the public sector, executive remuneration in the private sector and international employment relations. Michael has acted as a chief investigator on large ARC funded projects exploring management strategy and employment relations in the Australian and United Kingdom public sectors and executive remuneration and corporate governance in Australian listed companies. Michael has also coauthored several monographs including Unions and Globalisation: Governments, Management, and the State at Work (Routledge) and The Chaebol and Labour in Korea: The Development of Management Strategy in Hyundai (Routledge). Michael has published widely in management and employment relations journals including the Journal of Management Studies, the International Journal of Human Resource Management and the Journal of Industrial Relations.
