Advancing global knowledge in effective public policy implementation

Research within the Public Service Research Group (PSRG) broadly focuses on issues of policy implementation in a public service context. Our research crosses several different disciplinary, methodological and subject boundaries.

We bring a breadth of both knowledge and experience to our work, taking an inter-disciplinary and inter-methodological approach. PSRG research falls under four overarching themes: Capability in the Public Service, Complex Systems, Ethics and Inclusion. These themes encompass disability services reform, public service implementation, gender and flexible learning, project and program management, governance and management, and strategic human resources.

The Industrial Relations Research Group (IRRG) is a sub-group of the PSRG, addressing emerging issues in the changing world of work and workplace relations, locally and internationally.
