Overview
A digital twin is a term used to describe a digital replica of a product in use. This idea is made possible by growing sensor ubiquity, product connectivity, computational power, and data storage. It is feasible to use analysis and simulations of various scenarios for maintenance and to support the creation of the next generation of products by having a duplicate of each individual product in use and being able to monitor the health of each product and component in real-time.Â
