AGSM @ UNSW Business School once again ranked among the world’s best Executive Education programs in the Financial Times (FT) 2020 Open Executive Education rankings released today. AGSM, the only Australian management school to be included in the annual rankings, climbed six spots and ranked equal 34th in the field of 75 of the world’s leading business Executive Education providers.

“AGSM Executive Education offers over 30+ open enrolment short courses, including our new virtual learning programs, designed to prepare leaders for the future, providing active learning experiences, exposing them to practical skills and tools they can immediately apply to real business situations,” said Magnus Gittins, Director AGSM Executive Education.

AGSM scored in the top 10 schools in the Growth category (6th), calculated on the overall growth in revenues from open programs as well as growth in revenues from repeat business. This reflects a significant expansion of the program portfolio including new programs on digital transformation and digital strategy, angel investing and ongoing updates to iconic programs such as the General Managers Program.

“We are continuously improving our offerings to engage our clients in world-class learning experiences,” Gittins said. “We recently launched a suite of Virtual Learning Short Courses that go beyond traditional learning,” said Gittins. “Today’s business leaders need to navigate a number of challenges and deliver value to their organisations in times of unprecedented change. They want to equip themselves with the skills to thrive in an increasingly complex and ambiguous world.”

AGSM Short Courses scored highly on:

  • Faculty: quality of the teaching and the extent to which teaching staff worked together to present a coherent programme.
  • Faculty diversity: diversity of school faculty according to nationality and gender.
  • Course design: flexibility of the course and appropriateness of class size, structure and design.
  • Aims achieved: extent to which personal and professional expectations were met, and the likelihood

Later this year, AGSM Executive Education will migrate all programming to a fully blended model incorporating eLearning, virtual workshops and, when times allow, highly practical and pragmatic in-person experiences. AGSM is also supporting other Faculties at UNSW stand up short courses in their respective areas of capability beginning with the Faculty of Medicine.
