Alyna Arago, 3rd year Accounting & Business Management Co-op Scholar
Attending the Accounting Conference & Expo, VIP Pre-Party and Awards night, I was surrounded by incredible accounting professionals and business owners. Being in the same room as them as a 20-year-old student was inspiring and I cannot wait to see what is next.

As part of her Co-op Program scholarship Alyna has completed her first Industry Training placement with Sanofi, and is currently undertaking her second at Westpac Group.

According to Alyna, “UNSW Co-op Program was integral as it has provided me the vessel to act upon my passions and desire to work in the Accounting industry. By having placements across multinationals including Sanofi, Westpac Group and (next) Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, I was able to demonstrate my genuine drive and efforts to pursue a career in the industry. Further, through the IT placements, the Co-op Program has allowed me to contribute to Australia’s accounting industry from such a young age, further helping me stand out across the country."

Although not taking home the award on the night, we are incredibly proud of Alyna’s achievement of not only being nominated but selected as one of the top 10 students in her discipline in the country. With her third Co-op placement just around the corner we’re confident she will solidify her technical knowledge with further professional application, and continue to build on this early success through her accounting career!

Congratulations, Alyna!
