Her groundbreaking research focuses on developing peptidomimetic-coated lenses designed to inhibit bacterial biofilms and combat resistant pathogens like Pseudomonas, addressing critical challenges in ophthalmic infections and enhancing the safety and health of contact lens wearers.
Driven by a passion for innovation, M. Sara has significantly advanced the field with her expertise in attachment of compounds to surfaces, biofilm inhibition, and resistance mechanisms. She brings extensive skills in microbiology, microscopy, and surface chemistry to the forefront of her work.
