Dr David Meacheam
Prior to becoming an academic, I had an eclectic working life, first in the private sector, and later in local government. In the 1990’s, as a Deputy Director, I worked in a consultancy role, helping predominantly public and not-for-profit service organisations in their development, enjoying both the client-focused and organisational development parts of his work. My first degree is in information science, an important qualification in the early 1990’s, when so many organisations needed help to adapt technologies to their work processes. While completing an MBA at Newcastle University I began working there fulltime as an academic in 2000. I also worked part-time with The Adventist College at Cooranbong, and TAFE NSW. While at Newcastle University I taught in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore. My doctorate (completed in 2006) concerned knowledge management relative to organisational strategic types. My work at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ includes teaching in the areas of Public Policy Governance and Institutions, HRM and Strategic Management.
