Fleur Le Marne is a conjoint lecturer with the University of New South Wales Faculty of Medicine and Health and currently employed by the Sydney Children’s Hospital in a research and education role. Her interdisciplinary research includes a focus on epilepsy, neurogenetics, comorbidities, health improvement, and the provision of high-quality educational resources for patients with epilepsy and for the caregivers of children with severe neurodevelopmental conditions, along with the clinicians involved in their care.

Fleur is a member of the Collaboration on Genetic Epilepsies and Neurogenetics, Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (CoGenes) which has been established to ensure children born with genetic brain disorders get the best medical care and supports to enable them and their families to live happy and fulfilled lives. As part of this collaboration, Fleur is currently a co-investigator on the 'ClinEquip' study exploring how to best equip clinicians to navigate and manage severe neurogenetic disease, and the 'GenECompass' project evaluating an education service creating and linking families and clinicians with the highest quality information about developmental and epileptic encephalopathies.

Fleur has recently completed research exploring the ongoing learning needs of Australian paediatricians and paediatric trainees and currently coordinates a neurology outreach programme delivered by Associate Professor Annie Bye for over 300 paediatricians and paediatric trainees across Australia.

Fleur has also collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to create a range of educational resources to improve the care of young people with epilepsy. These include educational videos on Living Well with Epilepsy, First Seizure, Safe use of Midazolam, Adolescent Epilepsy Education, EpApp - an app for young people with epilepsy, and Finding A Way - a suite of video and written resources to support caregivers of children with severe neurodevelopmental conditions. Each of these educational resources are available on the Paediatric Epilepsy Network NSW website (), of which Fleur has been the website editor since 2015.

Fleur holds a Master of Clinical Neuropsychology (with distinction) (Macquarie University), a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) (1st class Hons) (Charles Sturt University), and a Bachelor of Business (Australian Catholic University). She was awarded the Macquarie University Vice Chancellor's Commendation for Academic Excellence for high academic achievement throughout the Master of Clinical Neuropsychology and received the Charles Sturt University Honours Year Academic Scholarship.

Before working at the Sydney Children's Hospital in Randwick, Fleur worked for the NHS Education for Scotland Special Health Board across a range of education, training and development projects to support clinicians. Projects included the Flying Start national development programme for newly qualified nurses, the Advanced Scrub Practitioner Framework, the Nurse Endoscopist Development Framework, Numeracy for Nursing, and the Health Care Support Workers Toolkit, among others.
