Lisa’s research examines three interrelated themes: discipline identity in architecture; the practice of learning and teaching in the design studio; and the future of design practice. Her research has focused on transformative learning in the design studio and the changing landscape of contemporary practice. Recent publications examine the role of collective creativity in contemporary practice, a reconsideration of creativity in design education, the impact of peer learning in the design studio and education for design-led enterprise and innovation. This research has been published in Design Issues, IDEA, International Journal of Art and Design Education, Journal of Peer Learning and International Journal of Design Education.
