Moira Murray joined UNSW in 2022 as a Senior Lecturer in the UNSW PLT Program. Moira was admitted to legal practise in 1991 and has worked for 20 years as a civil litigation and dispute resolution lawyer representing and advising government departments and agencies, insurance companies and individuals in the Federal, Supreme and District Courts.

Moira has taught in the PLT space for 10 years with the ANU School of Legal Practice before joining UNSW. Her work at ANU was recognised by her peers and students and she is a recipient of ANU College of Law teaching awards and a joint recipient of the ANU Vice Chancellor’s Commendation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning. Moira has an interest in developing professionalism in law graduates and believes PLT is a critical bridge from undergraduate study to legal practice. Her teaching philosophy aims to help graduates begin to develop their legal skills and professionalism and become lifelong learners.

2012 joint recipient - ANU College of Law Award for Team Teaching Excellence.

  2013 joint recipient - ANU Vice Chancellor's Commendation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning; and

  2015 ANU College of Law Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning.
