Rhys is a PhD Candidate and Research Assistant within the Justice Health Research Program at the School of Population Health, UNSW. His PhD research involves designing, developing and testing novel digital health tools for older people in prison. He also works on theÌýReINVEST trial, a randomised control trial aiming to reduce impulsivity in repeat violent offenders.

Rhys has also gained extensive experience designing and evaluating large scale public health and social programs through his work at Australian Health Care Associates (AHA) and Deloitte Consulting.

Through all of his work, Rhys strives to design and deliver culturally safe and technically feasible health programs that create positive change and improve population-level outcomes. Given his background in management consulting and economics, he is also extremely conscious of the need for effective translation of health research and policy into tangible and cost-effective solutions.
