UNSW Creative Practice Lab in the School of the Arts and Media, has strong relationships within the creative arts industry.

°¿³Ü°ùÌýindustry partners offer expertise in specific disciplinary fields and access to professional networks. We work with our partners from creative developments through to production and incorporate artists’ processes and outcomes into our teaching and research. Students are connected to these professional opportunities through a comprehensive program of industry internships.

Esme Timbery Creative Practice Lab

The Esme Timbery Creative Practice Lab is both a brand new building and a specialised arts lab within the School of the Arts & Media. The building is a world class teaching, research and public performance venue.

Venues & hire

Our venues and resources are managed by the UNSW Creative Practice Lab with the School of the Arts & Media office. Primarily for student and staff coursework and research, venues are also available to the arts Industry for commercial hire.

Internships

The School of the Arts & Media offers an exciting range of opportunities including foot-in-the-door internships. Our Work Integrated Learning program and internship-matched courses will secure you work experience in media, film, creative writing, performing arts industries and much more.

This dynamic digital space hosts the award-winning work of UNSW students, including reportage, investigations, commentary, reviews, creative writing and video and photography that explore the issues challenging 21st-century Australia and the world, captured through the eyes of the generation who will live it.
