The School of Management and Governance (SoMG) within UNSW Business School aspires to be an internationally recognized scholarly hub for generating cutting-edge, practice-based, impactful, and future-oriented knowledge. Our vision has been to establish ourselves as Australia’s leading management school by producing meaningful research that addresses a broad spectrum of management and governance-related issues, ultimately solving pressing managerial, organizational, and societal problems.

We are committed to internationally leading research that adheres to the highest academic standards while allowing for diverse indicators of research excellence and success. Our mission emphasizes the importance of publishing in top-tier academic outlets, ensuring our findings reach a wide global audience and contribute to both scholarly discourse and practical applications. Internally, we are loosely organized around five disciplinary research clusters, each of them involved in a range of bespoke activities and collaborative efforts: Human Resource Management (HRM), International Business (IB), Organization Behavior (OB), Organization Theory (OT), and Strategy, Innovation, & Entrepreneurship (SIE).
