Laptops
UNSW students can borrow laptops for up to 4 hours at a time. To borrow a laptop, please see staff at the Library Service Desk.
You'll need to familiarise yourself with theÌýlaptop loans terms and conditionsÌýbefore borrowing a laptop. You must return laptops during Academy Library opening hours to avoid fines. For more information, please talk with Library staff at the service desk or reach out viaÌý.
Saving work
Files may be saved to your home drive or portable USB drive or external HD. If you email yourself your assignment, please make sure it's also saved to your H-drive. Click onÌý'save',Ìýrather than 'open',Ìýwhen you're prompted to download the attached file, otherwise you may lose your document. We recommend you save work regularly during each session to avoid losing your work.

Wi-Fi
UNSW students and staff
On campus, Wi-Fi services are available for ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ students and staff in the Library. Ask us for more information on ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ wireless networks.
Guests and visitors
Information, Communication and Technology Services (ICTS) is currently undertaking a trial of a new Wi-Fi service across campus for visitors and guests. This wireless network is called "¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Guest" and is available within ICTS, Building 1, the Cafe and Library.
To connect to this network, visitors and guests need to register their name and email address. An authentication message is then sent to the nominated email. It contains a link which grants access to '¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Guest' for 24 hours. After this time re-registration is required. This time will be extended when the service is available more broadly.
Please note, the '¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Guest' Wi-Fi is not intended for anyone with an existing zID as it does not permit access to UNSW internal systems. TheÌýEduroam Wi-Fi network should be used in this case.
