How we can help

Kingsford Legal Centre provides free legal advice and assistance to people who live, work or study in the?Randwick City LGA and the Mascot and Port Botany Wards of Bayside Council (ex-Botany Bay) ?in New South Wales (View the list of suburbs).

We provide a NSW state-wide service in the area of Discrimination and Sexual Harassment Law. We also partner with Inner City Legal Centre and Redfern Legal Centre to run the Employment Rights Legal Service.

Advice is by?appointment only. To make an appointment call us on?(02) 9385 9566?between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm or between 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm.

If needed, a free interpreter can be provided.

Kingsford Legal Centre's Catchment

Kingsford Legal Centre provides free legal advice to people who live, work or study in the following suburbs:

Banksmeadow, Botany, Bronte, Chifley, Clovelly, Coogee, Daceyville, Eastgardens, Eastlakes, Hillsdale, Kensington, Kingsford, La Perouse, Little Bay, Malabar, Maroubra, Mascot, Matraville, Pagewood, Phillip Bay, Randwick, Rosebery, South Coogee, University of New South Wales (UNSW) & Waverley.

We also provide the following statewide clinics:

  1. Sexual Harassment Service and Discrimination Law Clinic.
  2. Employment Rights Legal Service (Tuesday and Fridays).

KLC is a teaching clinic for UNSW Law & Justice students and our volunteers are qualified solicitors. This means the advice nights can sometimes be unpredictable and there may be a waiting time.

You need to allow for around 2 hours when you come in to see us. We do our best to keep these waiting times as short as possible but if you have any caring responsibilities you should allow for this.

KLC partners with local community organisations to provide advice to clients in their community.? Our current outreaches are at:
  • Kooloora Community Centre - 167 Bilga Crescent Malabar.
  • Lexo Hub - 3-7 Lexington Place, South Maroubra.
  • South Eastern Community Connect (SECC) - Coronation Hall, Cnr Botany Road and Coward Street Mascot.
KLC runs weekly evening advice nights by appointment most Mon ¨C Thurs.
