Capabilities

As a multi-disciplinary team across all faculties at UNSW, our scientists are specialists in:

  • Mathematics and Statistics
  • Machine learning and AI
  • Data visualisation
  • Computational modelling and simulation
  • Non-linear dynamics and optimisation
  • Data privacy
  • Probabilistic modelling
  • Risk quantification and management
  • Business, economics, and marketing
  • Spatial modelling
  • Big and complex data
  • Genomics and medical data
  • Ecological, environmental and climate data defence research.

While applying these diverse skillsets to your data, uDASH provides opportunities for training, micro-credentialling and education in all of these fields. We develop tailored courses addressing the skillsets of your staff, introducing new opportunities for expertise in your team.

uDASH is a bridge between the University and the commercial world. We apply the perspectives and models developed for academic publications to real world applications such as image or facial recognition, data privacy, cyber security, virus spread and intensity, and more.

Our models are often deprived of the real-world data needed to be practically applied. The converse problem exists in the ‘extra-university’ world, where there is a surplus of data with inadequate models for their processing. uDASH exists to unite these needs.Â
