Neural interfaces are artificial materials that interact with neurons of the body, for example the electrodes of a neural prosthesis or biomaterials that release drugs. Neural interfaces are an essential part of many bionic devices. Our research focuses on the development and study of these materials when in place, including their biocompatiblity, their electrochemical properties and how they interact with living tissue.
