The Honours year is a chance to focus on high level mathematics and statistics, involving coursework with a research project component.

If you are an Advanced Mathematics student, then Honours is built into your program. For other students, if you have achieved good results in years one to three, you may want to consider an Honours year. Please see the information below for details on the Honours year.Ìý

After graduating, you may contemplate a graduate coursework degree or a research degree.Ìý

An honours degree offers you the opportunity to continue your undergraduate degree studies at a higher level and specialise in an area of interest within mathematics and statistics.Ìý

Honours courses and projectsÌý

As part of our honours program, students complete coursework and conduct a major project that continues over the course of a year. Explore our honours courses and selection criteria.Ìý

Please discuss your coursework course selections with your Supervisor for advice in the first instance, then seek permission from your Honours Coordinator before you complete the Course Selection form, linked below.ÌýÌý

The Course Selection Form will be actioned by School staff to enrol you into your courses chosen, can be updated numerous times.Ìý Please note that students are not permitted to enrol themselves; if there is a change required including to drop a course, please contact the School via this email address: ug.MathsStats@unsw.edu.au as soon as possible.
