    Opal cards
    International students need to purchase an Adult Opal card to use on public transport in Sydney.

    If you have received one of the below Australian Government scholarships and enrolled full-time, you may be eligible for a concession Opal card:

    • Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarships – Full research scholarships funded by the Department of Education and Training.
    • Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarships and Vocational Education and Training Scholarships.
    • Australian Awards – Full scholarships funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.


    If you are doingÌýCross Institutional StudyÌýand your study load is equal to a full-time load, you may be eligible for a concession Opal card. Bring proof of your Cross Institutional Study enrolment toÌýThe Nucleus: Student HubÌýto check your eligibility.
