Get your official enrolment documents

Find out how to request official documentation from UNSW if you need confirmation for your employment, government services, jury duty, living expenses abroad or other purposes.

Note:

  • Applications may take up to three (3) working days to process. During peak periods, this may increase to five (5) working days.
  • You must be enrolled in the current term.
  • You must clear any outstanding debt to the university before these letters can be issued to you.
  • An Award and Enrolment Statement, also referred to as a completion letter, can only be issued once your graduation status has been changed to ‘Awarded.’ If your status is not ‘Awarded,’ request an Enrolment Statement instead.

    Note for current students: An Award and Enrolment Statement can only be issued once your graduation status is 'Awarded.’ on myUNSW before submitting your request.

  • An enrolment statement verifies your enrolment for each semester/term you’ve studied in at UNSW since 1990. If you need a record of your enrolment from before 1990, request an .

    What’s included:

    • Teaching period start dates
    • Program enrolled in
    • Normal program duration
    • Study load for each teaching period
  • This document is for international students who studied online outside Australia during border closures. It recognises your online studies towards the Australian Study requirement for the Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa.

    Who can qualify:

    • You must have studied online while holding a Student (subclass 500) visa, and
    • You must have lodged your Temporary Graduate visa application within 6 months of completing your eligible qualification.

    How to apply:

    1. Complete all relevant sections (Part A, B & D only) of the
    2. Submit a new 1545 Form request and attach your completed Form 1545
    3. Your request will be processed within 5 business days, or you will be contacted if we need more information.

  • Use this letter to confirm your enrolment at UNSW.

    When to use this letter:

    • Opening a bank account
    • Renting a property
    • Proving evidence of coverage under UNSW insurance in conjunction with an
    • Proving your eligible working dates
    • Supporting documentation for applying for a visitor visa for family members
    • Applying for a tourist visa during UNSW vacation periods

    What’s included:

    • Name
    • Date of birth
    • Program of study
    • Date of commencement
    • Expected date of completion
    • UNSW term and vacation date
    • Language of tuition (English)
  • Provide this letter as proof of your enrolment details to receive government payments.

    What’s included:

    • Program and course details
    • Term and annual study load for the current academic year
    • If applicable, the dates of any courses you withdrew from after the census date.
  • If you are summoned for jury duty, use this letter to confirm your enrolment status at UNSW. You’ll need to upload a copy of your jury summons letter (not the ).

  • International students can use this letter to confirm their enrolment and fees at UNSW.

    What’s included:

    • Tuition fees based on a full-time study load for the current academic year
    • Living expenses
    • Overseas health cover.
  • If you are an international student on a student visa and want to transfer to another education provider within the first six months of study, you need a release letter from UNSW.
